Experience & Roles
Seventeen years with one business, progressing through IT, marketing and operational leadership into COO responsibility. Based in Bournemouth and looking for a new team, a fresh challenge and the chance to make a practical difference.
My best work happens where customer service, systems, marketing and operations overlap.
The Honest Version
I am a cross-functional operator who understands how technical, creative and commercial work affects the people using it. My strength is seeing the full process, finding the point of friction and helping a team make it work better.
The online tools I built are in production. The campaigns I ran moved revenue. The systems and processes I improved are still being used. None of it was theoretical. It was practical work delivered under real commercial pressure, often without a large team or budget.
I returned to the UK in 2023 after 20 years in New Zealand. I am based in Bournemouth and looking for a role where broad experience is useful: joining up people, processes, customer needs and the online tools that support them.
What I Am Looking For
Roles in digital operations, e-commerce, systems flow, customer experience, marketing operations or business improvement. I work well with teams that value practical ideas, clear ownership and someone who can understand the full picture while still doing the hands-on work.
I am open to permanent roles across the south of England, as well as genuinely workable hybrid or remote opportunities. The right scope, team and opportunity to contribute matter more than forcing the role into a narrow title.
The value I bring is in connecting technical delivery, commercial thinking and the people who actually use the process. A role that needs those things to work together is likely to be a good fit.
What I Bring
I build focused online tools that solve real workflow problems. PHP, MySQL, Linux, cPanel, connected data and practical automation. I start with the end user and the end process, then build what is actually needed.
Email campaigns, Google Ads, social strategy, event marketing. All measured against real outcomes. Helped grow digitally generated annual revenue by a measurable NZ$1.25M, sustained across six consecutive years. The focus was commercial outcome, not vanity metrics.
Shopify, custom B2B platforms, inventory management, product data at scale. Built Performance Cycle Wholesale from zero to NZ$750K annual revenue, around the real ordering and fulfilment process. Know what breaks at volume and how to prevent it.
Seventeen years inside a multi-location business with 50+ staff, including senior operational leadership and COO responsibility. Processes, performance management, supplier relationships, compliance and the day-to-day decisions that keep an operation running smoothly.
25 years Adobe Creative Suite. Print, digital, video, event materials. The ability to brief and produce creative work without an agency, which removes both cost and the delay of an external dependency.
Not hype. Actual use of AI tools in real workflows: content, code, operations and customer touchpoints. Understanding where AI adds genuine value and where it creates more problems than it solves.

British citizen. Full right to work in the UK. No visa requirements or restrictions.
Open to full-time employment, part-time, hybrid or fully remote. Currently managing remote consultancy across UK and New Zealand time zones without difficulty.

Types of Role
Managing digital systems, platforms and workflows across a business. The person who makes sure everything connects and keeps running. Systems, marketing, e-commerce and infrastructure all under one remit.
Owning an online sales operation end to end. Product data, platform management, campaign integration, conversion and customer experience. Shopify or custom platforms at scale.
Email, paid search, social, events and content. Managing the full marketing output of a business rather than one channel. Reporting against revenue outcomes, not vanity metrics.
Internal systems, web tools, server infrastructure and technical operations. The role where technical knowledge and business understanding need to exist in the same person.
Setting and delivering digital strategy across an organisation. Website, e-commerce, marketing, systems and creative all connected into a coherent operation with clear commercial objectives.
Running the operational side of a business. Process design, team management, supplier relationships and the day-to-day decisions that keep a multi-function organisation working efficiently.
Alongside employment, I continue to provide remote consultancy for existing clients in New Zealand, including Auckland Harley-Davidson, Auckland Triumph and Performance Cycle Wholesale. This work covers digital marketing, Mailchimp campaigns, web systems maintenance, e-commerce management and technical operations.
For UK-based businesses, I am also available for project-based consultancy work: building a focused online tool, improving a workflow, setting up a marketing operation, auditing an e-commerce platform or providing technical problem-solving on a short-term basis.
