Internal tool / Auckland Harley-Davidson
A Santa grotto looks like a photo problem. It is actually a process problem. The traditional setup needs at least two people: one taking photos, one capturing customer details so the photos can be sent on, plus a third invisible step where someone marries the photos back to the right customer record. Queues form, mistakes happen, the customer waits.
This system removes the second and third steps entirely. One staff member runs the whole interaction on a single mobile phone. Live camera view with a transparent festive overlay (logo, holly, branding) shown on screen. Snap several photos, hit done, and the system generates a unique QR code on the staff phone.
The customer scans the QR with their own phone, fills in the form themselves, and the photos email instantly to the address they typed in. The same photos appear on the big-screen carousel running in the venue for waiting families to enjoy. Meanwhile the staff member is already taking the next customer's photos.
Built specifically for the in-store Christmas event at Auckland Harley-Davidson. A private internal tool, not publicly accessible, designed around the real human bottleneck rather than the obvious technical one.
